Does anyone out there know how to set up posting by email? I tried, and as usual, I can’t make it work.

by MandiSometimes I despise technology.
After two years, the web filter at work has finally caught up with me. This website is now blocked from work, and the MIS guys are telling me that because of the nature of the filter (it blocks whole categories, not individual sites), they can’t whitelist just my site. They also blocked Meebo.
It’s killing me.
So basically that means that I can only post from home in the evenings. I can’t comment throughout the day anymore. I’m honestly not sure what that will do to my content level. I’ll try to keep it up with where it’s been, but we’ll see.
It’s so frustrating because everything I like to go to during the day has been blocked. There are no websites left that I can go to to take a “brain break” from work. I wouldn’t be surprised if this seriously affects my productivity level at work.
So… see you this evening, rather than later in the day.
*sigh*
A new name, the contest, yada yada yada
by MandiYou’ve probably noticed (at least I hope you have) that I finally picked a new name for the blog. It wasn’t on any of the lists that you guys suggested, so in reality, nobody wins the prize.
Except I make the rules, so I can do what I want!
Everybody who suggested names for the blog can have a guest post, if they choose, on any topic (excluding porn/erotica).

Need More Help…
by MandiDoes anybody know how to move a sidebar over? I want the right sidebar moved over so that the posting area is large enough to accomodate pictures when I post them – and I can’t for the life of me figure out how to do it in this theme.

by MandiThe problem of the missing post has been solved! Thanks to Min, he discovered that this template* was excluding posts made in the “Personal” category. Then I was able to find the coding for that and change it!
Way to go, Min!
*I’m beginning to think this template is more trouble than it’s worth…even though I do love it so…
I’m Going to Scream!
by MandiI’m having issues getting a post I’ve written to show up on my main page.
Any thoughts on why this one shows up when this one won’t?
It seems to somehow be related to the post title (though I’ve changed it and it still doesn’t work). When I simply title it “Test” it showed up on the main screen. When I changed it, it disappeared. I’ve tried several different titles, none of them work. Even changing it back to “Test” doesn’t work.

by MandiSo my Google Analytics code stopped working when I got the new theme. But it works again! Yay for trial and error! The only bad thing is that I had 3 days where it recorded 0 visits. Oh well, I suppose my traffic isn’t really something I should care about – and it’s really not the numbers that I care about. What I like finding out is which posts are the ones that people are interested in. So Happy Day! It works again!
PPP
by MandiI’m jumping on the Pay Per Post bandwagon. Before you all start groaning, hear me out! The way I see it, doing PPP is better than putting ads on the site. Not that anyone ever actually clicks on blog ads anyways. I won’t do it that often – my original content will still be the absolute priority.
I’ve decided to do this because I’m struggling (and I do mean struggling) financially. I’m hoping that this is a way my favorite hobby can help out. It may not be worth it, but it might be.
