Catchy title, eh?
So that song I posted about the other day? By David Cook? I’ve decided that it’s either the most romantic song ever or the creepiest song ever. I mean, have you ever actually listened to the lyrics?
You’ll always be a part of me
I’m part of you indefinitely

If only more people saw it this way…
First, I am aware that some (agreed, not all) women do suffer unexpected physical and psychological damage because of an abortion. If abortions are to take place, I would want to encourage a climate of more informed consent, with some small time for reflection and for review of […]

I found this article today on a doc blog, that lays out some general findings of a recent study.
In a landmark paper published this week in Lancet, researchers at the Alan Guttmacher Institute reported that abortion rates are down worldwide, due in large part to increasing use of effective contraception. The decline in developed countries […]

Amnesty International has decided to change its stance on abortion. Their formerly neutral stance on the issue has changed to pro-choice. Check out this post from MIntheGap:
Feminist Jean Garton tells the moving story of her three-year-old, who wandered into her room late at night and inadvertently saw a photo of a ten-week abortion. his mother describes his reaction:
His small voice was filled with great sadness as he asked, “Who broke the baby?”
How could this small, innocent […]

This makes me sick to my stomach:
Yang Zhongchen, a small-town businessman, wined and dined three government officials for permission to become a father.
But the Peking duck and liquor weren’t enough. One night, a couple of weeks before her date for giving birth, Yang’s wife was dragged from her bed in a north China town and […]

MIntheGap has the best post I’ve seen on abortion in a long time. He quotes the Times Online:
After years of wondering whether we’ll ever change society’s permissive attitude towards abortion, I’m convinced that we will some day come to view it in the way we now view slavery, a moral abomination that generations simply became […]

Louisiana is the first state to ban late-term abortions since a federal ban was upheld earlier this year.
The new law allows the procedure only when the mother’s life would be endangered without it. It would be a crime in all other cases, including when the pregnancy is expected to cause health problems for the mother.
The […]
