I Need Your Help
Posted by Mandi on June 26th, 2009 . Filed under: Personal .I’ve never shamelessly used this blog as a plea for help before. And the funny thing is that now I’m doing it when I have virtually zero readership, so it probably won’t do me any good.
Bottom line – I need a bed.
I’ve been sleeping on my couch for the last three months. I had planned to do it indefinitely, but some unforeseen circumstances have come up. Namely – the emergency gall bladder removal surgery I had on Monday. I’ll be heading back home this weekend, and I’m not looking forward to sleeping on a couch while I finish healing.
SO!
I’ve placed a paypal donate button over there in my sidebar. Hoping beyond hope that I manage to get enough to pay for at least half of a good mattress set.
Thanks, in advance, of any help you might be able to offer.
Love,
Mandi

I’m really sorry that I wasn’t able to contribute more but I’ve just sent a small donation your way. I hope you get a reasonable bed very soon.

We dont get updates? I want to know if you are sleeping in a bed or not.

I gave an update on facebook! Sheesh!
No bed yet. I’ve gotten $156.66 through paypal donations. Add to that $50 I randomly got from my Granny in the mail, and I’m at $206.66.
Mattress sets are expensive. The absolute cheapest I’ve found for a full sized set is $250, not including delivery. And since I’ve gotten help from some of the most generous people I’ve ever met (or never met, in some cases), I’d like to spend the funds on a worthwhile mattress that will benefit me and last longer than the cheapest fabric covered foam/spring combination.

I am fine, now.
For anyone who ever has this surgery, I recommend a full two week recovery period.
Trust me on this.
