Olympic Abs

Dana Torres is incredibly fit for a 41 year old woman.   I’m 25, and I pretty much have zero hope for looking like that (did you see how much she pays a year to stay in that kind of shape?).

I like this juxtaposition between “Olympic Abs” and “Simple Fitness.”

As much as I would love to end up completely ripped and defined like Torres, I’m going for overall health and fitness in my gym membership. Yes, I finally joined a gym! Shocking, I know. I’ve been walking around for the last 2 days sore as hell thanks to the leg machines and the bike. But it’s a good soreness. I’m proud of myself for pushing myself (well, for Cindy pushing me) and actually following through. It’s been less than a week, but I already feel healthier because I know I’m being proactive and actually working towards a better me.

I may never have olympic abs, but I know I’ll be happy with the results I get.

  1. Maybe if we all could spend that much money on fitness and someone paid to make sure we actually did the work then we could get ripped like Torres. :::: sigh ::::
I know what you mean by the ‘good kind of sore’. I need to get back into shape and you inspire me by this post.
Congrats on the gym membership. :)
