Much Better

I spent all day in bed (in quarantine, is more like it) yesterday.
It sucked.
But today, my fever is gone! I’ve de-flued (yes, that IS a word…at least in my vocabulary) my room and my bathroom, so all is well again in the land of Mandi.
To celebrate, I’m making this pie. And to quote the Pioneer Woman…
Oh, lawsie mercy. Lawsie. Mercy.
The filling is still in the mixer, mixing away…and Oh. My. God.
I cannot wait to taste this beautiful elixir.
omigosh—raw eggs right after the flu!?!!
YES! Raw eggs right after the flu.
And it was marvelous. So rich and chocolatey that I couldn’t even eat a whole piece.
