May the Best Man Win

Dude knows how to make a speech. Holy cow.

I don’t agree with everything he said, but at this point, Mr. Obama’s got my vote.

sounds like Hilary is out huh?

    LOL

Well, the only thing i do not like about obama is his total lack of a progressive energy policy. Sadly this is a pretty high sticking point since energy=security=economy.

Of all the candidates, both sides, as much as you may not like her, Hilary so far is the only one I have heard describe a rational, aggressive energy policy that doesn’t require the ever expanding use of coal.

1 pound of coal = 2 pounds of CO2.. there is no way to get around that. Clean Coal doesnt mean no CO2 it just means that there are less of the other crap (sulfur and mercury) associated with coal.

So while I can’t stand her continued use of the gender card (I have a vagina therefore I represent real change), and I really do enjoy listening to a politician who is so eloquent (finally!), I am not seeing much of a choice come election time.

Actually, the best thing about ALL the candidates is that they can at least speak English, without the obnoxious cowboy accent we currently endure.

They even say “nuclear” the right way.

I did a quiz to see who I should vote for and got Obama. This would be useful were I actually American instead of British. We just get Gordon Brown.

Obama is visionary for sure and extremely likeable as a candidate, great communicator.

I worry about his lack of strong political background, tho, and while one of the things we’d like to obliterate is having politics-as-usual, the total lack of cooperation he would get on Capitol Hill (few strong allies) and his inexperience could be an extremely crippling factor to forward motion in many areas overall. But people ARE hearing him! Whether he wins or not, he will certainly continue to make impact – and maybe in a few years…?

I wish John Edwards had a better shot at it. Unfortunately in this election, he is just a white male and that has been done to death, I guess.
