My old favorite show is back!

That’s right! Trading Spaces is back, old-school style! Paige Davis is back as the host. And she brought back all of my favorite designers! Frank, Doug, Lauri, and Hildi!
I’m so freaking excited.
The spin on it this time is that it isn’t just neighbors trading spaces. It’s an ex-husband trading spaces with his ex-wife and her new husband. Or an assistant trading spaces with her boss. Or a mother-in-law trading with her son and daughter-in-law.
Yeah.
This is going to be cool.
I used to watch it all the time, but hated the new format once they canned Paige. At this point though, I would have been ok with a price increase.
I used to watch the show every day. But I absolutely hated it once Paige was gone and they got new designers. I really haven’t watched the show in a few years. But I’m really excited about it being back.
I actually thought Paige was the most annoying gnat-type person ever, but it is true: when they canned her, they made waaaaaay too many changes and ruined the show.
My favorites are Hildi making everyone nervous and Doug just being his arrogant self.
Dang it! I missed the first one, didn’t I???? Surely they’ll repeat it. I guess we’ll never get Vern Yip back - or the unknown version of Ty Pennington (he seems very much inflated now) who was hilarious, especially next to Frank in the old days.
Guess we’ll see…
And Hildi and Doug were the designers last night!
It was fun, although I didn’t like Hildi’s design very much.
I’m sure they will rerun it. You might even check to see if TLC has full episodes availableon their website.
As far as the carpenters go… no one will ever be like Ty. I watched last night, and I couldn’t tell you what the carpenters names are. Part of that is because they’re focusing more on the stories of the people than the projects, but part of it is because they just weren’t very remarkable - or rememberable.
