The more I try to do around here on this site, the more like an idiot I feel. I upgraded to the newest version of WP (2.3.1), and since then the error message in the upper left corner has been there. I know nothing about mySQL, so I haven’t the foggiest how to fix it.
Anyone?
Interesting that it only shows up on the homepage, though. What’s your homepage doing that the post/comment pages aren’t. That’s a clue.
I don’t have any DB experience so I can’t help much, but you could try the WP help forums. I never bother with those anymore, because they don’t speak to me ever since our little… um… minor disagreement earlier this year.
Someday I’ll learn to control my temper…
but not today.

Turn off your category widget, and see what happens.
