God Loves the World…

…including the insane horrible ignorant people from Westboro Baptist Church. If you can stomach it…they’ve done a music video. Yes, you read that right…a music video for a song called “God Hates the World.” (HT: Zach)
Uh….no.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Romans 5:5
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2:4-5
I could go on, but I think you get the point.
These people make me so angry! There were children in that video. Smiling! And did you see that psycho woman Shirley Phelps-Roper? She looked positively delighted to be singing that God was sending people to hell. What kind of person is that?
This is NOT Christianity. This is a cult. God has nothing to do with what is coming out of that “church.”
And why is Canada evil? They were waving the Canadian flag upside down. I don’t quite understand that one.

Canada has legalized homosexual marriage is why they have the upside down flag.
These people were here in Colorado Springs, outside my church a few weeks ago protesting our church because of our pastors recent fall…I am happy to say no one got hurt. That is not to say some of us did not want to. (In a holy and “righteous” way of course)
I am very careful about using the word “evil”, although I believe it truly exists. Not as a synonym for bad, horrible or hateful, but as a supernatural decay or absence of any good. These people get as close to my definition of “evil” as anyone I have ever seen in my life. It is not Christianity. I know we are not supposed to judge others’ hearts, but they make it impossible.
I really feel strongly that Christians need to begin praying for God to touch their hearts. Can you imagine if God suddenly showed the real Gospel message to the Phelps? It would be incredible!
Have you ever seen an interview with their leader. She just doesn’t look right. Do you know what I mean? I’m not saying she looks slow, she looks as though she’s possesed or something. I’m not going to say that’s what is happening. But, there is something that just seems odd about her.
