So it seems Alec Baldwin thinks he’s an op-ed writer. Check out his scathing attack on Cheney because of the whole shooting. I personally prefer to read this article that puts Baldwin in perspective.

i think baldwin’s comment is certainly unfair and over the top. i do think cheney does use fear or terror to push his ideas, but i don’t think that makes him a “terrorist”. i’m not sure baldwin is the most credible voice in the liberal crowd. just because he’s making this unfortunate conclusion shouldn’t mean that all ideas and criticisms from the left should be ignored.

I wasn’t trying to imply that all ideas and criticisms from the left should be ignored. I may be right of center, but that doesn’t mean I think all leftists are wrong. We need the balance and alternate perspectives brought about by the left.
You did, however, get the exact point I was trying to make when you said, “i’m not sure baldwin is the most credible voice in the liberal crowd.”

i guess that’s my point. if he’s not a credible voice, then why even bring up his comments at all?

Because Baldwin obviously thinks he’s a credible voice. And others, who agree with him, will lean on his voice because of his celebrity status.

There are many more dangerous terrorists out there. We need to get unified in this country so we can take them out, instead of dividing ourselves between stupid things. (Cheney needs to be dealt with by a court, not by the American public.)
